Fall Registration 2016
Classes at En Pointe School of Ballet are back in session and only a few spots remain. Please contact us quickly to reserve your spot or to place your dancer's name on the waiting list.
Our students are already excitedly talking about our next performance, which will be Cinderella in June 2017. Some parts have already been announced, variations are being taught for the principal parts which will be auditioned in the coming months, and speculations about which characters each class will represent are being discussed among the dancers. We are already buzzing with busy excitement.
In the Fall we focus closely on technique and extra strengthening exercises. Pointe tests are scheduled every other Thursday in the 4:00 pre-pointe class and the intermediate and advanced pointe classes are working on perfecting their Italian Fouette'. The men's class has been attending extra classes all summer with the pointe students and their technique is improving by leaps and bounds, or should we say saut de chats and grand jete's! Akiko has been teaching fun variations from Esmeralda and La Sylphide. M'kenna is teaching variations from Cinderella to the pointe classes and men's class in preparation for Auditions.
Our boys and men's program is growing and we are grateful to our male teacher Ariel Paraso for his enthusiasm and talents in instructing and motivating our male dancers. We feel blessed to have so many and are always happy to welcome new boys and men into our program. We are still offering a FREE month to any boys or men to try it for a month with no obligation.
We welcomed a new teacher, Breece Perry, which brings our teacher total to five and classes are going great! Please see her Bio on the instructors link.
Welcome to all of our new students that joined us this year! We are enjoying getting to know each of you. It is going to be a wonderful year!

Partnering class.....

Our boys and men are
taught each week by a male dancer who majored in Ballet at U of U and
BYU. This ballet class is designed specifically for boys and
emphasizes strengthening, stretching, and correct ballet technique in a fun
atmosphere where boys can feel comfortable in ballet, with other
boys.
Our boys classes are great for developing balance and agility and working on leaps, jumps, and turns in a masculine movement style. This class helps improve their strength and agility for sports too! They have the opportunity to perform masculine roles in a story ballet each spring. When they are teenagers and strong enough, they will have the opportunity to learn partnering with the pointe students in our ballet school.
